What we collect
Photographers upload event photos, which we store on our behalf. Guests may upload a selfie to search those photos. From both sources we generate a numerical face embedding — a mathematical representation of a face used for matching — which is biometric data under GDPR and similar laws.
How selfie and face data is used
- A guest's selfie is used only to compute a face embedding and compare it against embeddings from the event's photos. We do not keep the selfie image itself after this comparison completes.
- Face embeddings generated from a photographer's uploaded event photos are retained for as long as the event exists, so guests can continue to search it.
- Face matching runs on our own self-hosted infrastructure. We do not send face images or embeddings to third-party facial recognition services.
Event photos and account data
Event photos, account details (name, email), and event metadata (titles, dates, privacy settings) are stored so photographers can manage events and guests can retrieve their matched photos. Photos behind a private or password-protected event are only accessible to people with that link and, where set, the password.
Your rights (GDPR and equivalent laws)
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data — including any face embedding generated from your selfie or from photos you appear in — at any time. To make a request, email privacy@dalisports.ai with the event link (if applicable) and a description of your request. We will respond and, where required by law, complete deletion requests within the statutory timeframe.
Data storage and retention
Photos and derived face data are stored with our infrastructure provider and retained for as long as the associated event and account remain active, or until a deletion request is completed. Photographers can delete an event, which removes its photos and associated face data.
